LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
In the framework of the SEATECHUB, project partners from the Cyprus Marine & Maritime Institute (CMMI) in Larnaca organized an expert visit to UNIZG-FER and held two-day workshops on the 9th and 10th of January 2024.
The first day, dr. George Rossides gave an overview on the design and implementation of novel autonomous underwater and surface marine robotic platforms as well as the creation of state-of-the-art robotic and digitalization systems for marine environmental and oceanographic applications, maritime surveillance, and the digitalization of the Cypriot maritime industry.
On the second day of the visit, dr. Rosides held a training on the workings of CMMI robotic platforms and explained the aspect of the integration with IoT and computer vision CMMI is working on.
This visit was organized with the project activities related to Skills development and mutual learning.
