EMRA is a workshop on EU-funded marine robotics and applications, held yearly since 2014 in various locations around Europe. The goal of this workshop is to bring together a diverse range of speakers from ongoing FP7/H2020 projects, industry, end users and stakeholders. The interdisciplinary event is an excellent opportunity for networking and cross-fertilisation of ideas in marine robotics, enabling technologies and applications.
LABUST is one of the founding members of EMRA and has been involved in its organization since it was first organized, as part of LABUST's CADDY, EXCELLABUST, and EUMarineRobots project. In the workshop's six years, many EU-funded marine robotics projects were presented, various experts held plenary talks, there were exhibits showcasing the newsest technologies and demonstrations displaying them in action, making this event an excellent place for learning and advancing in this and related fields. EMRA is not limited to just scientific research projects, but also includes representatives from the industry and end-users, signifying that this event validates the importance of cooperation and encourages it.
