LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
On the FER's Open Day 2023, 25. November 2023. citizens have the opportunity to visit the underwater robotics laboratory (LABUST), and see and try out a range of inventions in the fields of marine control engineering. Most visitors were graduating students interested in research, education, and technological details. Elementary school students were thrilled with driving mini speed-boats. Learning to drive a "working class" remotely operated vehicle was also a challenge. After countless tours over the pool and deep dives in the dark ocean, we just hope that some of the visitors will come back with good ideas and nice memories.
