LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
The InnovaMare Final conference event took place on May 12th 2023 in Šibenik, Croatia, marking the culmination of nearly 3 years of collaborative activities.
The Conference, organized by the Croatian Chamber of Economy, aimed to engage stakeholders (authorities, universities, industry, and citizens) in a long-term strategy to boost the Adriatic Sea’s Blue Economy. It focused on leveraging the digital and green transition. The centrepiece of the event was the presentation of InnovaMare’s achievements, with a special focus on the newly created Digital Innovation Hub (DIH). The DIH will foster the development of innovative marine technologies to combat Adriatic pollution.
The conference includeed speeches from key stakeholders and a panel discussion – introduced by video demonstrations of DIH InnovaMare – on the innovation ecosystem for the blue economy. Students who attended the InnovaMare Academy received certificates for participating. The ceremony followed practical demonstrations of technological innovations, including a remote demonstration and livestream from the LABUST lab by Anja Babić and Martin Oreč, and visits to the Living Lab Adriatic Sea pilot sites.
