Members of the Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies (LABUST) attended the international interdisciplinary field workshop on maritime robotics and applications Breaking the Surface - BtS held from 29 September to 5 October 2019 in Biograd na Moru, Croatia.

During the BtS week, field trial preparations for the CroMarX project were carried out. The trials aimed at testing cooperative navigation and localization between the surface and underwater agents. Data collection was carried out during the following week with great success.

During the BtS workshop that was organized by CroMarX associates Ivana Mikolić, Antonio Vasilijević, and Nikola Mišković, a hand-on demonstration by Anja Babić and Ivan Lončar was conducted showcasing the system with surface platforms and multiple underwater agents. Đula Nađ, together with other junior CroMarX associates, attended the rest of the workshop lectures to further theoretical and applied knowledge about marine systems and connected software frameworks.
