LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
The Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies (LABUST) members attended the 17th International Interdisciplinary Field Workshop of Maritime Robotics and Applications Breaking the Surface - BtS held from 9th until 16th November 2025 in Limassol, Cyprus, organized by UNIZG-FER (LABUST) and CMMI (Cyprus), and supported by projects CoE MARBLE, UWIN-LABUST, SeaTecHub, uBlueTec, and IEEE OES UNIZG Student Branch Chapter.
LABUST members participated in the rich programme which included included 16 lectures, 8 demos and 7 tutorials.
The detection of underwater acoustic signals challenge was organized again this year after three successful ones (2022, 2023, 2024), and got great reactions from the participants describing it as exciting and challenging.
We are looking forward to the next year's edition of BtS which is going to take place in Croatia again!
