LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
From May 3 to May 5, a out PhD student Juraj Obradović and group of undergraduate students participated in a workshop and company visit to BlueDataB, a company specializing in marine data analysis, located in Kaštel Sućurac. The main focus of the workshop was the use of Planktoskop for analyzing clam larva concentration in waters, a method that has the potential to optimize shellfish farming results.
Three students took part in the visit, each leveraging the opportunity to enhance their research for their master's theses. One student focused on data acquisition, while the other two worked on processing the collected data to extract meaningful insights.
BlueDataB provided an excellent learning environment, offering valuable expertise and hands-on experience in marine data analysis. The visit fostered knowledge exchange between the students and industry professionals, highlighting the importance of data-driven approaches in sustainable aquaculture.
