LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
Prof. Roee Diamant, a professor at the Department of Marine Technologies at the University of Haifa, was interviewed for a Croatian daily newspaper Večernji list about international research projects he is actively participating in together with UNIZG-FER. His work in underwater acoustics is bringing innovative solutions for communication, navigation, and sustainable fishing.
"The ocean is a limitless source of possibilities, from research and ecology to security and energy. Both Croatia and Israel have the potential to become leaders in the blue economy," Diamant stated.
The scientific projects discussed by Prof. Diamant in the article, UWIN-LABUST, SOUND, and SHIELD (set to launch on March 1) are currently at the core of his research. His work is focused on advancing and applying the cutting-edge technologies developed within these projects.
