LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
WUWNet 2024, held for the first time on European soil, took place from 28th to 31st of October in Šibenik, Croatia, organized by Roee Diamant and supported by projects like UWIN-LABUST. The conference proved to be a resounding success, bringing together academics and practitioners from various fields of underwater networks and systems to foster collaboration, ignite interest, and make a lasting impact. Alongside the conference, additional trials of various groups of researchers took place in the venue itself, the Amadria Resort and the nearby Ruđer Bošković Institute's station Martinska.
Held in the stunning city of Šibenik along the beautiful Dalmatian coast, the conference was set against a backdrop of crystal-clear waters, ancient architecture, and Mediterranean charm. The weather was perfect throughout the entire week, adding to the overall experience and providing an ideal environment for both scientific exchange and networking.
The event featured an engaging program, including 5 keynote speeches, 2 parallel tracks, live demos at sea, and a half-day excursion that allowed participants to connect while enjoying Šibenik's captivating surroundings.
