LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
On May 15, Assistant Professor Fausto Ferreira attended and gave an invited talk at the Next Maritime Technology Day in Trieste, Italy. In this event organized by the mareFVG cluster, he presented LABUST work related to autonomous ships and digital twins during the Ship digitalization session. Next Maritime Technology Day is mareFVG's annual event which celebrates technological innovation in the maritime sector and encourages dialogue between companies and the world of research. This was a great opportunity to exchange views and learn from industry what trends they observe and what are their needs in the ship digitalization domain. A strong interest in the R&D developed at LABUST was shown by the participants.
