LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
On Friday, January 26, 2024, a group of students from Žuti brijeg Elementary School in Zagreb, accompanied by physics teacher Emina Mutabžija-Orešković and geography teacher Karla Vajdić, visited the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER). The visit included 25 students from seventh and eighth grades.
The students visited LABUST, where Assistant Professor Đula Nađ showed them everything about underwater robots, torpedoes, and fish feeders. After the tour, they participated in a workshop on Lego Spike Prime robots as part of the Horizon Europe ICSE factory project. The workshop was conducted by Liljana Puškar, Matea Dvoršćak (Faculty of Science), and Associate Professor Ana Sović Kržić. They built a humanoid robot and programmed it to dance. For most of the children, this was their first exposure to robotics.
