LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
The Office of Naval Research project “ADRIATIC - Advancing Diver-Robot Interaction Capabilities” coordinated by LABUST will start on 1st June 2018 and will last for 36 months. The project consortium consists of UNIZG-FER - LABUST (Croatia) and University of Auckland (New Zealand). The ADRIATIC project builds upon recent research accomplishments in the area of human-robot interaction underwater, by advancing the developed cooperative motion algorithms and introducing wearable sensors in a form of a diver glove for controlling an autonomous underwater vehicle that serves as a robotic diving buddy.
