LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
In May 2023 LABUST participated in the annual Undersea Medicine - Deep Submergence Biomedical Development Program Review hosted jointly by ONR and NAVSEA. The program review was held from May 9-11 in National Harbor, Maryland USA. After four years of virtual presence, we finally got the chance to present in person recent accomplishments from the domain of diver navigation, physiological monitoring and human-robot interaction underwater done on project ROADMAP – Robot Aided Diver Navigation in Mapped Environment. Particularly interesting were the Q&A sessions where scientific accomplishments were discussed directly with end users, medical doctors, divers, companies and academics.
