LABUST has taken part in many scientific research projects relating to underwater systems and technologies in various roles. This includes numerous international (FP7, H2020, ONRG, INTERREG,...) as well as national projects.
The world's largest technology, aviation, and space industry fair TEKNOFEST, which included the international innovation fair ISIF 2022, was held from August 30 to September 4, 2022 in the city of Samsun, Republic of Turkey.
The autonomous catamaran for mariculture, authored by Nadir Kapetanović, mag. ing., doc. dr. sc. Đula Nađ, Nikica Kokir, mag. ing., Martin Oreč, mag. ing., Kristijan Krčmar, mag. ing., prof. dr. sc. Nikola Mišković, and prof. dr. sc. Zdenko Kovačić won the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) prize for the best international innovation of the fair.
The Croatian Association of Innovators presented a total of ten Croatian innovators at the fair. TEKNOFEST had more than 1.25 million visitors in one week, which makes it the largest in the world. More than 200 innovations from all over the world were presented at the fair itself, while the drones of the company Bayraktar, Turkish space programs, and electric vehicle competitions proved to be the biggest attractions during the rest of TEKNOFEST, along with numerous youth-oriented STEM workshops.
